Just before the start of the season I wrote a piece about the transfers that had been made and how they’ll affect their teams (Sports + Stuff - Best & Worst Premiership Team Transfers). Now this was written nearly two weeks before the close of the transfer window, and since then things have changed. My criteria is still the same:

Based on where the teams finished last year, how these signings will help, who they’ve brought, how much for, whose left/stayed and how much they got...

Now, as we all know, Ronaldo has got his career with Real Madrid well started and firmly up and running, it would only be fair to open up the comparison of who the best player in the world really is. At present, there aren't many serious competitors to Ronaldo for the accolade other than Argentine favourite Lionel Messi, who plays for Barcelona.

Up till now, there already have been frequent debates on which the better player really is. They are both great players, and both can score...

This entry is dedicated to 5 high profile players, who I believe deserve more credit than they get. You may(almost certainly) disagree with some of my choices, and I'm intrigued to hear the players you think fall into this category.

The criteria that I have set are that they need to be playing for a high profile team, and they are either overlooked by media and fans, or openly slated.

So here we go, strap in, I'm counting down from #5...
