The best place to catch up on an irreverent view on most things involving the glorious sport that is Formula 1, plus the odd cricket blog too. You may laugh, chuckle, or simply roll your eyes at what this armchair analyst has to say, but if that's the case then you're reading, and not falling asleep. Which can only be a good thing

The Latest Stick Sports Upheaval: What do we think?

Jawsey May 25, 2010
Well, I come back onto Stick Sports Tuesday evening, knackered from a gruelling exam and I suddenly find that it’s all change again! The Stick Sports team have gone round with their latest run of adjustments in hopes to make the site even better. It seems only fair that there should be some blogging on this. So now that I’ve cooled down a bit after the red mist that was LSA’s best tournament yet being destroyed by the change (and not for the first time either), I’m going to put some early thoughts...

Webber is King in Monaco's 2010 GP

Jawsey May 19, 2010
The same thing is said about Monaco every year: people campaign for it to be moved aside on the calendar, complaining of dull, processional races. And every year Bernie Ecclestone fairly but firmly bats those thoughts aside. As the man himself has said, Monaco is the one track where it does more for F1 than F1 does for it. The prestige of winning Monaco is above all others; such is the testing nature of this unique street circuit. In no other place will you find a track where the driver is rewarded...

Why don’t Aussies like 20/20 much?

Jawsey May 15, 2010
I made an intriguing observation the other day, as us bloggers on this site gathered to discuss bloggy matters. For all the hullaballoo about IPL 3, and the 20/20 World Cup (which I have been watching, and have found rather enjoyable to see England being good at cricket for a change) very few of the Australian contingent have shown any interest in them. Now, obviously there will be some exceptions, but I’m curious to understand why, in the main, Aussies show a dislike, almost a disdain to the shortest...

Jawsey May 9, 2010
Updated May 11, 2010 at 02:06 PM by Jawsey
After three long weeks it was a pleasure to the eyes and ears to hear and see 24 Formula One cars blasting their way around the Spanish Grand Prix. And while it wasn’t a classic race, it was by no means as dreary as Bahrain, and threw up a number of interesting stories to unravel.

1. Webber Red Bull-Renault 1h35:44.101
2. Alonso Ferrari + 24.065
3. Vettel Red Bull-Renault + 51.338
4. Schumacher Mercedes + 1:02.195
5. Button McLaren-Mercedes + 1:03.728

Button rises through the chaos once more to claim China GP win

Jawsey April 20, 2010
Another fascinating race, dubbed by Alonso as a “wacky race”, where really we had no clear idea what would happen till the last few laps. A sprinkling of rain, a couple of safety cars, all the top drivers sent to the back and forced to charge up. All the ingredients for an excellent race really!

1. Button McLaren-Mercedes 1h44:42.163
2. Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes + 1.530
3. Rosberg Mercedes + 9.484
4. Alonso Ferrari + 11.869
5. Kubica Renault + 22.213...
