Liverpool Transfer Activity! OMG!

Well, no. The Americans didn't actually give us any money. but Rafa, the so-called *ahem* genius in the transfer market, secured Maxi Rodriguez on a free transfer. Which was quite cool. Anyway, most people will probably only know him for one goal - the extra-time winner for Argentina against Mexico in the 2nd Round of the 2006 World Cup. Well, it was quite a good goal, and it deserves to be seen again.

The guy also scored against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield last season.

Out

Yes, two of the biggest fails ever to have played football have left Liverpool in the January transfer market. What is astonishing is that we actually got a half-decent sum of money for the duo. First, Andriy Voronin. Yes, the guy that is commonly acknowledged as the worst free transfer in history has found a club that wanted to buy him, with no bribery involved. So it's goodbye to him and his poorly-dressed wife, he has joined Russian team FC Dynamo Moscow, for around 2 million quid. Here is a video of his better moments, it was difficult to find something good, but YouTube comes good in situations like these. Champions League 07/08, 3rd Qualifying Round, 1st Leg vs Toulouse.

One of his fails (couldn't find a good one):

And the last guy, an actual legend. Andrea Dossena, although not being much better than Voronin, gave Liverpool fans some of the best moments of the 2008/09 season. The first, capping off a wonderful night at Anfield in the Champions League.

Just 4 days later, the left-back "goal-machine" did it again, lobbing Edwin Van Der Sar at Old Traffor to round off the scoring once more. Those were his only two goals for the club.

Not one of his better games, for Italy:

The guy has moved to Napoli (where Diego Maradona used to play) for 4.5 million, and while they were pretty crap, I wish them all the best at their new clubs.

But there's one which I'm pissed off about: our young German left-back has joined Fulham. Not for a few mill. £100,000. Christopher Buchtmann, you'll be missed. And I hope that I spelt your name right. 3 assists vs England in this vid.

Unfortunately, it seems like we couldn't buy anyone else. But here is some of the guys that we were linked with.

Rumours

Marouane Chamakh is a guy that might be French (edit: Moroccan *blushes*), and plays for a French club that I have since forgotten the name of (might be Marseille) (edit: Bordeaux *blushes*. Now come on... 25 million for a guy that has a worse goals-per-game ratio than one Andriy Voronin? Pass. Although he is better than Voronin. But here's a clip of him anyway. Included cos I don't know what he looks like myself. The second move was epic.

Kenwyne Jones: The Sunderland striker, region of £9m... we do need strikers, but I won't be losing sleep over this.

Victor Moses: The guy ended up joining Wigan, which is probably the right step to take after the Championship. Good player though. Great overhead kick here.

After the revelation of Sotirios Kyrgiakos, another Greek was going to join. But he didn't. Right-back BTW.

And there's several more, and I CBA to put them all in. Otherwise it's be July until I finished.

Don't think you were ever going to get chamakh, arsenal have been vying for his signature for a while now and so far he has been very unavailable due to bourdeux's good success. Also show more interest in your potential transfers haha
