Dribbling I'll give that to Messi over Ronaldo but work rate is by far the most important. Messi always seems to be giving it 100% for Barca... Ronaldo seems to perform when it suits him best.

Plus, Messi's passing is much better than Ronaldo. Although, tbf a lot of this comes from Barca's pass reliant game.

That's exactly the point I was trying to make. Don't see why you all are just pointlessly arguing Messi is better. There isn't any section other than the work rate, in which Messi outdoes Ronaldo. Talk about pace, agility, dribbling, skills, strength and blah blah ... Ronaldo all the way.

Everyone crowds around Messi and kick him/try to foul him. But he's got a low centre of gravity and doesn't dive, so he's very difficult to floor. Bit like Maradona, but the refs give more freekicks now. No-one does that to Ronaldo (or to such an extent)

@ Suklash, are you seriously saying the fact Messi backs himself to take on and beat midfielders instead of shooting from further out makes him a worse player?

If anything it would make him the better one.

Ronaldo can have a crack at goal from quite a considerable distance, while you have to drag Messi to the penalty area to have a chance of drawing a goal from him. Often, in the process, he gets hampered by defenders and they make quite ugly tackles on him. This shows work rate isn't important, and that doesn't make Messi a better player.

Ronaldo shows of with his tricks too much. Might aswell do a bloomin' strip-tease if he likes that much attention.

Messi is better, obviously. Quick with incredible technique. Some of his runs/goals leave your mouth hanging

Ur right Aditya, While Ronaldo was in United, He was unbelievably good, some of his goals out of the record breaking 37 in a season were outstanding. And Ronaldo has good control with the ball, I mean he's not that bad

I kinda do agree with Suaksh. I like Ronaldo better. The only place Messi really is better than Ronaldo is the work rate. I have to agree with F1 there, I mean Ronaldo does give up more easily than Messi
