Good Players, Need More Credit

Choob 1 Week Ago
This entry is dedicated to 5 high profile players, who I believe deserve more credit than they get. You may(almost certainly) disagree with some of my choices, and I'm intrigued to hear the players you think fall into this category.

The criteria that I have set are that they need to be playing for a high profile team, and they are either overlooked by media and fans, or openly slated.

So here we go, strap in, I'm counting down from #5...

Welcome back for Part 2. Good to see you again. Let's get on with the show, starting with I...

I is for...

...imports.It's what Britain has done for years... bringing in things from abroad when they can't provide it themselves *predicts witicism about England's cricket team*. Has it harmed the development of English players? Perhaps, but I think people have got the cause and effect mixed up. I believe that the foreigners are brought in because the talent isn't there....

"BRING ON THE GERMANS", screamed the media after England destroyed Slovenia 1-0. Finally, England were going to end their 40 years of hurt and coast to the World Cup final.

Or that's what you'd believe if you pay attention to the media here. It's no wonder that England are unpopular once you ask people that live outside of this stinking island.

And now they call for Capello's head. What has happened to football in Britain? Why is sacking the manager the answer...

Forlan and Higuain get the party started

Choob June 17, 2010

What can I say? After the first round of fixtures it's safe to say that we've had a dreadful start to the World Cup. The goals per game average was 1.5 after 16 games. Considering the record low is Italia '90 with 2.2, people's complaints about this World Cup potentially being the worst ever were hard to ignore.

There was promise, but a lot of teams understandably went with a defensive mindset, which was great for them because most of them came away with a point, but not great for...
