Updated February 17, 2010 at 07:44 PM by Stick Sports Team
The awards just keep coming thick and fast for the Stick Sports team, with the oldest - and still the most popular - game in the Stick family picking up a gong for best online cricket simulation game in the CricketGaming.net awards.

Stick Cricket picked up a whopping 46.1% of the vote - that's roughly 38% more than the poor alternative offering from another major cricket website that shall not be named (cough Cricinfo cough).

The art of death bowling

One of the most important parts of the 50 over game is death bowling, those last 7 to 8 overs in an innings can be the difference between winning and losing games. Unfortunately with the 50 over game being so batsmen friendly (fielding restrictions, harsher wide calls etc), bowlers hardly get acknowledged for being able to bowl that yorker, or deceive the batsmen with a slower ball. To meet a professional cricketer is one thing, but to actually know him personally is another. The former Hawkesbury, and now Victorian, fast bowler John Hastings is one of my cricketing idols. For example, it was observed that prior to the fourth Ashes 09 Test, Flintoff...

I'm at breaking point with the tatics of certain people in England. The curator of the Oval should be shot, the umpires should be sacked, and anyone else who has pissed anyone else off should be sent to prison.

Thanks for completely wrecking a gripping Ashes series. I really don't care now what the result will be, England will win, say that they outplayed the Aussies, which is a completley vulgar statement.

The Oval should never be used in the test arena as it l think...
