Red Bull score major own goal as McLaren claims 1-2 instead

Jawsey May 31, 2010 (The Jaws Corner)
People constantly complain these days that Formula 1, especially these new, modern day Herman Tilke tracks, is boring, processional and fundamentally unexciting. Oh what nonsense they prattle. Turkey’s 2010 Grand Prix was a prime example. Even before Red Bull’s calamitous moment on lap 41, the race was close and exciting, with the top 4 drivers all within 3 seconds of each other, the gaps constantly see-sawing. Any of Webber, Vettel, Button and Hamilton could’ve won the race on pace alone today....

Friday Five: Pitch invasions, Rude Boy and a full moon

The Bunyip May 21, 2010 (The Bunyip's Blog)
Be warned, this clip contains explicit language. But then again you should just come to expect that from all Friday Five clips, really. This poor Kiwi driver is distracted by a full moon and promptly crashes. The culprit is said to be a bit sheepish about it all.

The prestige of winning Monaco is above all others; such is the testing nature of this unique street circuit. In no other place will you find a track where the driver is rewarded...

Webber and Red Bull rule the roost in Spain

Jawsey May 9, 2010 (The Jaws Corner)
Updated May 11, 2010 at 02:06 PM by Jawsey
After three long weeks it was a pleasure to the eyes and ears to hear and see 24 Formula One cars blasting their way around the Spanish Grand Prix. And while it wasn’t a classic race, it was by no means as dreary as Bahrain, and threw up a number of interesting stories to unravel.

1. Webber Red Bull-Renault 1h35:44.101
2. Alonso Ferrari + 24.065
3. Vettel Red Bull-Renault + 51.338
4. Schumacher Mercedes + 1:02.195
5. Button McLaren-Mercedes + 1:03.728
