Pietersen vs Chanderpaul

Chris Gayle, not content to humiliate England's bowlers by hitting 80 from a mere 43 balls, has laid into Kevin Pietersen following the homesick former England captain's criticism of Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Pietersen is reported to have said that Chanderpaul "never fields" and "plays for himself". Even if that were true, Chanderpaul has contributed notably to his team's recent success against England (and has often been the standout performer in the side), whilst Pietersen has 'boosted' his team's morale this month by refusing to captain the Twenty20 side and calling one of his former team-mates "fat and lazy". No wonder he can't wait for the tour to end - his fellow players may well all despise him by now.

    I think KP just cant handle the way "tiger" craftily works his way up the batting mount. KP wishes that he was as consistent with big scores. But you could never be a TIGER you are only a cheaply bought bats.

    i used to be frustrated that england didnt play fpr south africa but the hype proved wrong as it so often does...................hes arrogant and inconsistent.....im not saying hes not a good player cos he clearly is (obviously, hes south african!) but he thinks hes 10 times better then he is an that will be the death of him. chanderpaul = legend

    chanderpaul is a better player than pietersen. he could bat better than him at his best on a BAD day. he wins matxhes for his team while pietersen scores 3.
