Afridi's misguided hunger

Glinn Mgraw January 31, 2010 (Glinn @ Silly Point)
Look, I know everyone can get a bit peckish from time to time, but trying to eat a cricket ball as though it was a fruit of some kind is probably going just a wee bit far, no?

It's a shame too, as Afridi had been offering some good captaincy. Who knows, maybe he was the solution of Pakistan's ever-present captaincy difficulties. But how's he going to captain the team from the stands? Devouring leather won't get his team any victories....

Friday Five: Pranks, flukes and Twister

The Bunyip January 29, 2010 (The Bunyip's Blog)
Not all pot shots from the halfway line go horribly, horribly wrong...

... But the security team at this event must be the most inept bunch since the security guards at The Oval let The Web Millionaire, after 2853 pints, run on to the pitch to celebrate with England's Ashes winners in 2005:

Let's...
