Yankees through to the World Series

Today, at Yankee Stadium, the New York Yankees avoided an embarrassing 7th game by beating The Angels 5-2 and securing the 2009 ALCS. The win earns them a place in next weeks World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies beginning on Wednesday.
