Rohit covering for VVS

Middle-order bat Rohit Sharma is a chance of making his Test debut, with selectors calling on him as cover for Very Very Special.
Laxman suffered a hand injury - insert your own joke here - and there are concerns about whether he'll recover in time for Saturday's first Test against the Proteas. Rohit has played plenty of limited overs cricket for India - he's notched up 41 one-dayers and 14 T20s - but his only other call up to the Test squad, in 2008, didn't result in a debut. Full story |
