Laird brothers in brawl

Detroit Tigers catcher Gerald Laird was arrested after being involved in a brawl at an NBA game in Phoenix.
Laird was arrested and cited for assault, while his brother - who is on the books of the Yankees and touted as a prospect for the future - was also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The incident took place in a lounge area of the US Airways Arena, after the Suns-Boston Celtics game last week. It remains unclear whether Laird's defence against the charge will be that he isn't very good at hitting. |
