Big Benn banned
by The Bunyip December 18, 2009

Sulieman Benn has been banned for two games after he was found guilty of a Level 2 Code of Conduct offence during the third Test at the WACA.

Mitch Johnson and Brad Haddin pleaded guilty to their lesser charge, but Benn pleaded not guilty - and, as such, was slapped with a ban for either one Test or two one-day internationals.

Haddin was fined 25% of his match fee and Johnson was docked 10% for their roles in the ugly incident, but it's clear that both umpires and match referee Chris Broad believe it was Benn most at fault.

Broad said: "It was an incident which could have been avoided. No one likes to see cricketers pointing bats at their opponents or pushing each other away. It is not the sort of example that players should be setting at any time, least of all in a series which is being played in a great spirit and being followed by millions around the world on television."

for every action there is an equal reaction, i say that to say that if the australian batsmen did not portray their ignorance as their always do the incident would never had happen. i believe that if sulieman benn was fine heavy, the two australian batsmen should be slapped also.

----------

the way how i see it, its a racist move to let of the two the two australian batsmen get off scotch free and scold sulieman benn

that was a good call benn was all over johnson and all haddin did was stand up for his team-mate.
then benn walked over to haddin and started to point at him which resulted in him poking johnson which was why he pushed him
it was all benn and he should have gotten a longer ban

I Thnkin West Indies should refuse to play any more games unless the bann is removed.... it would be similar to what the Indians did a few years ago.... Complete Ludacris that the Australians were not banned as well
