The art of bullying

What is the world coming to? A 12 year old in Queensland was stabbed to death after a schoolyard incident where a 13 year old classmate inflicted a deadly wound to the chest. The weapon was an 18 centimetre fishing knife. The attacker then tried to commit suicide. This is the second schoolyard death in Queensland schools in 6 months, after a teenage student was king hit (punched) to death.

I’m stunned, seriously stunned about how this could happen in a first world country like Australia....

Would help if someone currently playing was actually quite good at it though.

Finally, someone other...

Valentino Rossi is a freak of motorsport, nothing much he can’t do with any vehicle. As a reward for winning the Moto GP crown, Ferrari gave him a chance, (this is his sixth) to test an F1 car. His test was at the Circuit De Cataluña in Spain, which coincidentally is also a track on the Moto GP calendar.

Rossi drove the 2008 spec Ferrari, which was really the last generation of the F1 Car before the huge aerodynamic upgrades that were done before the start of last year. He lapped around...

Australia’s bright young cricketers - John Hastings

To meet a professional cricketer is one thing, but to actually know him personally is another. The former Hawkesbury, and now Victorian, fast bowler John Hastings is one of my cricketing idols. I play at the club which once was his home club during his junior years in Sydney grade cricket, Hawkesbury.

Around 5 years ago, ‘Hasto’ made his mark in the Sydney Grade Competition, bursting onto the first grade scene. Whether it be with the bat or the ball, his presence was felt by every...
