Start your engines folks

Jawsey 2 Days Ago (The Jaws Corner)
In roughly a day or so’s time at the time of writing, 24 engines are going to be fired up in Bahrain. 24 men, who have spent the winter training and preparing themselves to the limit for this, will step into their cars. They will grip the wheel, ready to deal with up to 3Gs in places as they rocket around a racing circuit at well beyond 100mph. Yes folks, this weekend Formula 1 season hits town with one heck of a bang.

Alonso has ‘best car yet’, and new teams show signs of struggles

Jawsey 2 Weeks Ago (The Jaws Corner)
Mr Alonso has made quite the sweeping statement with the conclusion of the third test in Jerez, after the team finally got some good weather and some decent running. He commented to much of the media "This is the best car I've ever had, Red Bull, McLaren and Renault have been very quick and have shown their cards, while we are still hiding ours." Since in-season testing is still banned, this is crucial for all the teams, in order to evaluate their 2010 cars. I shall be looking over the first test, judging on which teams are looking pretty good, and also what to expect from the second test, which begins tomorrow.

As with any first test of a new F1 car, it is very much an initial shakedown, and few definitive comparisons...

Friday Five: 'Wonderwheel' and a girl getting wet

The Bunyip February 4, 2010 (The Bunyip's Blog)
Updated February 4, 2010 at 09:43 PM by The Bunyip
Well, we did have quite a funny video lined up to show you this week - of a Mac Bank employee passing time until Beer O'Clock by opening a few NSFW email attachments. But the damn thing went viral, and has even been mentioned in a few newspapers so is now, like Sol Campbell, way too old and humour has made way for sympathy for the poor bloke.

If, on the off chance, you're behind the times (hello Queensland and Wales), you can see it here. Now on to all our completely original content,
